Kalen Ballage Runs for 110 Yards to Power Renegades Past Brahmas

The Arlington Renegades opened the 2025 UFL season with a 31-9 shellacking of the San Antonio Brahmas at Choctaw Stadium in Arlington on Saturday.
Running back Kalen Ballage carried the ball nine times for 110 yards, including a 77-yard touchdown scamper. It's the longest rushing touchdown in UFL history - in game 45 of the league that was formed when the XFL and USFM merged.

The Renegades running back spent four seasons in the NFL from 2018-21 and split time between the Miami Dolphins, New York Jets, Los Angeles Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers - totaling 665 yards and seven touchdowns.
Former Texas A&M Aggies quarterback Kellen Mond started his first game for the Brahmas after spending four seasons in the NFL and threw for 159 yards on 17-of-31 passing and added another 19 yards rushing. Mond could never get the San Antonio offense going opposite a stifling Renegades defense.
The Arlington defense allowed just 240 total yards to the Brahmas while holding them to 4.5 yards per play.
Renegades quarterback Luis Perez completed 80 percent of his passes on 20-of-25 passing for 164 yards with one interception, while Sal Cannella led all receivers with 45. yards on five receptions.
Arlington linebacker Charlie Thomas III registered six total tackles with three solo and two passes defended.
More than 10,000 fans showed up at Choctaw Stadium, formerly the Ballpark in Arlington, to watch the Renegades' Opening Day victory. The UFL Opening Weekend continues on Sunday with a doubleheader as Michigan faces Memphis at 11 a.m. CT and D.C. hosts Birmingham at 2 p.m. CT.
